Code U 2023

Series of abstract compositions featuring Ukrainian geometric patterns . Symbols, signs, systems and unique patterns used in fashion embroidery for hundreds years by ancestors of Ukrainians and other Eastern Europeans. According to ethnography’ research the embroidery symbols hold special vibrations, strength, and energy. Artist turns the antique symbols into abstract modern combinations and “Codes” by using new media and colors.
