Bio
Oksana Tanasiv (OKSI) is American artist of Ukrainian origin. Her life is a successful story of artist-immigrant who left her life behind for a chance to realize her American dream life from the scratch.
She currently lives and works in Norwalk, CT and NYC, USA.
Author of more than 500 art works, installations, illustrations;
Exhibitor of national and international art fairs, galleries’ exhibitions, events: Art Context Miami, Art Palm Beach Miami, Art Los Angeles, Volta NYC, Art on Paper NYC, Aqua Art Miami 2019, Market Art+Design Hampton 2018, ArtExpo NYC 2012, 2013, 2014, Art Santa Fe 2010, multiple solo and group exhibitions in Connecticut , NYC, Miami and Europe.
Art by Oksana Tanasiv belongs to private and museum collections worldwide.
Collections
2020 – LED installations, series called “Light at the End of the Tunnel” featuring elements of Ukrainian antique symbols over plexiglass materials. The light material used in the series holds symbolic meaning of hope, peace, and brighter future.
2016 – series of geometric art in neo-folk style. Antique patterns of Ukrainian embroidery turned into contemporary art compositions connecting the history and culture in lengths of centuries.
2011 – until now Dollar Art Socio-Political Series
Dollar Art are conceptual post-contemporary series in XXI Vanitas style. Art were the image portraying the scenes of the routine life and the certain objects created of dollar bills pattern, and where the each dollar banknote is carrying the message.
2013 – Couture Art Installations, mixed media art – 10,000 Swarovski® crystals, beads, fabric on canvas.
2007-2015 Fashion Art Series, realistic figurative art featuring world of fashion.
