Oil, acrylic, collage on Canvas. 30″X40″. 2023

In this stirring piece, artist evokes the profound struggle and irony of human agency versus materialistic allure. The juxtaposition of the realistic human form and the symbolically oversized hand manipulates perception, igniting discourse on power and control. In my artwork, I blend realism with a surrealist twist, using vibrant acrylics and precise pencil strokes. I convay female behavior and the weight of societal values, questioning the interface between worth and objectification. This piece is a bold statement in any space, exuding an energy that provokes thought and stirs conversation. (Oksana Tanasiv)

UP & DOWN

Oil, collage on canvas. 36″X48″. April 2020

In this vibrant fusion of symbolism and surrealism, I’ve captured the essence of life’s perpetual climb. Dappled in symbolic strokes, figures ascend and descend on steps of currency, with an air of semi-abstraction. This piece is a commentary on the ceaseless pursuit of success and wealth, urging viewers to reflect on their own journeys, their owns ups and downs. It’s a dynamic artwork that adds a profound narrative to any space it inhabits, igniting conversation and introspection(Oksana Tanasiv)

Silence

Unequal pay harms U.S. women.
How many working women think they’re paid fairly for the work they do? Right now, with the economy still struggling to provide jobs for all those who want them, many women are probably happy just to be employed.
But women are still paid only 77 cents for every $1 men receive. This unequal pay continues to harm American women and the families who depend on their wages. (According to a recent report, women are the primary breadwinners in 40 percent of American households.)

It really doesn’t matter who you are on the Earth: president or arabic sheikh, millionaire or prince of Wales. It really doesn’t matter how much money you will make in your life. After your death you won’t be able to take any penny with you.
